The Snake Eater Adventure Race is unlike any other race in North Alabama.
This adventure race includes swimming, kayaking, trail running
along with a few surprise challenges along the way. This race is meant to
be fun and allow racers to get out and see parts of the Tennessee River and
backwater they never knew existed. This is a one of
a kind event and we promise a great race, great food and great fun.
We only allow 2 man teams that can either be male, female or Co-Ed. We do
this more for safety than anything because our trail course is quite remote and
we don't want racers out there on the “back 40” by themselves. Battle Buddy
rules apply!! We will make sure we have
CLEAN Porta Potties this time

Must sign up as a two person team. Teams may be male, female or co-ed.
***Race will be capped at 30 teams due to limited canoe rentals***
Early Registration Fee: $110.00 per team through May 31st
Late Registration Fee: $140.00 per team after May 31st through race day
Canoe and equipment rental fee (if not providing own): $10.00 (per team)

PICK TIME : 24 JUNE 2016 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM RACE DAY

PICKUP LOCATION: Riverwalk Marina, Decatur, AL
COURSE
INFO: The course begins with a 400 meter swim which will be out and
back. Once racers finish the swim and they have their team mate they will
grab a canoe/kayak and head out to the Trail Head which is about 1.5 miles from
Riverwalk. Once at the trail head racers will beach their boats and their
gear and begin their 3.0 trail run which will consist of dirt trails, mud
and swamp. Once racers return to their boats they will then paddle back
toward the finish where they will negotiate an inflatable obstacle course right
before the finish line. Teams must stay
together at all times!!
ARRIVAL
AND PARKING: There will be designated parking for all snake eater race
participants. Please follow signs and volunteers once you arrive.
WAIVER:
Waivers will be signed before you pick up your packet.
RACE
UNIFORM: Dress as you would for a trail run, but remember you have to
swim first :) and bring your own water bottle. We also
recommend bringing a cap/hat and using bug spray/sunscreen before the race.
